When a critical incident arises and the client’s physical safety is at risk, the Protective Specialist must be in complete physical and emotional control. While the client’s immediate wellbeing is the primary concern, in today’s world there is even more to consider. With the universal presence of cell phone cameras and the real time ability to post photos and video to social meda, the composure and professionalism of the protective agent and his ability to deliver a controlled, measured response is critical to limiting not only the physical risk to the client but also the reputational risk to the corporate brand.
